What’s Happening at NHLA:
Thank you to Dr. Gene Wengert
As the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic remain, NHLA continues to find new ways to meet the educational needs of the hardwood industry. Last month, NHLA hosted a 4-part Kiln Drying webinar series presented by Dr. Gene Wengert. The series was a great success, and we are happy to announce that we will be continuing our partnership with Dr. Wengert to offer more educational opportunities.
Our next two webinars are designed to help sawmills achieve the maximum return on log to lumber production. The webinars will take place on July 29 and August 5 and are outlined below.
NHLA would like to thank Gene for volunteering his time and resources to teach these classes for the betterment of NHLA members and the hardwood industry. During these unusual times, it is important that NHLA provide our members with the education they need to be successful, and it is with the help of partners like Gene Wengert that we are able to do so.
Gene Wengert is the President of The Wood Doctor’s Rx LLC and Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been training people in the efficient use of wood for nearly 50 years. Gene is the author of eight practical books and has published over 400 articles relating to the wood products industry.
